Practicing to Shift my Focus and How I am Posting on Instagram Now
Instagram space right now, it's a dumpster fire now - let's be real. As much as I love to just get off Instagram, but a lot of art events, workshops, and community events are announced on Instagram - At least that's how the majority of people here are doing.
It has become a rage-feeding machine and bait unfortunately. It's overwhelming.
So here's what I'm changing how I am using Instagram (both my 'art convention & shop update' and my main art account):
- 'Collab post' between my main art account and the shop update account if I have a new item drop. That's it.
- On the main art account, I will log in if there is zine club community page update, for the local art community.
- Ditch the idea of 'growing Instagram'. Literally. I made art sales when I didn't go to Instagram a lot
Also if I want to 'make an update' of what I am doing, I can do it in my Zine as I Go!! Instead. I can always bring it to the monthly Local Art Meetup to catch up - Isn't it great? It allows people to get excited about making things more than when I just post it on Instagram stories!
Hope you enjoy this more spontaneous blog post, and I'll see you on the next one! And yes I'll be more active using this bearblog as it has made a positive impact in reducing my social media posting.
