I'm thinking to post more of my music-making journey without having to cater toward the daily posting on Instagram. So here we go!
A bit of an update on my music-making journey
I started booking several sessions with Mel Mitchell-Jackson to get a little supports on Music-making starting October this year, and honestly I thought I'd document every of my keyboard practice in here, as much as I can.
And yes, I'm talking about the physical keyboard

The practice videos are split into several parts because of the size upload limitation.
How do I feel when practicing the E major scale
The main reason why I started to play E major scale was that I tried to decrypt the scales in one of Yuika's newest song in an album, called "Get Everything Wrong", and so I did try to do it in E major scale for the first few seconds. Then, learning the scale is much more fun.
My main key takeaway for this scale practice was mainly to build repetition, than building such rigid and academic practice. I am doing music practice to be 100% in my own body than monetizing it after all; In a world that is so numbing, I want to make sure I feel connected to myself. I want to give space for myself for that through the casual music practice.
The scales practice in "Threes" was quite challenging, but it allows me to recognize sound pattern as I go, and it made me feel much at ease when I'm doing E major scale normally.
What is next for my music-making blogpost
I think I'll be posting more of these! It will be filled with such raw documentation video of me playing for fun, improvising and all if needed.
Because posting on bearblog allows me to be more at ease than actually posting for the social media algorithm, I can be more as rough and raw as I can when doing this weekly practice for music. I hope you enjoy the reading, and I'll see you on the next one!
